Shit needs to stop NOW.

I'm sure a variation of this concept has made it's way into the conversation, however I completely agree and this should be seen by all.

Also looking through the last few pages you see alot about unclear or unlabeled knobs and I completely agree. The worst example of this ever was the keeley comp
if you are going to put a blinding LED on a pedal don't make it silver with silver knobs That thing made my eyes hurt

The Tube Screamer I built cost me like $50 but yeah I hear what you're saying we definitely don't need more Tube Screamers especially at jacked up "boutique" prices. Whatever.. Someone's gotta take TGP's money..

The blinding LED thing though.. That really bothers me. I like them pretty bright but when they have like a visible beam coming out of them and they're frying your retinas that's just annoying.

I kinda hate all the blinding LEDs. I don't see the point of making them so bright. If you can't tell it's on, then something's wrong! Except, I thought the bright LED on my Ghost Echo was awesome. It wasn't too bright either, it just lit up my bedroom a little at night! Yeah, but usually I put a little tape or something over the really bright ones.

this might be trivial, but I've also never understood chrome pedals that insure that I'll be blind at the end of the night.

I like bright LEDs :idk: compared to the anemic red LEDs of days past.

After using an Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer for a couple years, your complaints about bright LEDs start to go away. Even standing above those things you can't tell when the light is on.
That said I try to dim mine so they aren't visible from a mile away.

Agreed. Their new versions are not always improvements. The BF-3 is the one exception I know of, but that's just IMO. I like the extra settings and such on it.

I actually disagree with you on the OC-2 vs OC-3. Not that I prefer the 3 over the 2, I don't. But the OC-3 has a reason for existing. They went digital because they wanted to go polyphonic to keep up with the POG, and you can't do that analog. And you can't fit the analog OC-2 circuit and the digital polyphony circuit in one small box, so they had to go all digital. That said, I wish they had released it on its own as a polyphonic octaver and kept the OC-2 in production alongside it.

yeah I have owned both and like both but they are completely different animals
Wish the OC2 still existed,

I do think the PH3 is a pretty sweet pedal
but boss does obsolete models faster than you would like without any thought to if the new one is actually better
