Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
SO MANY POSTS SINCE I WAS ON!
Finally settled on it pre ECT so that I can have my drives drivy and fatten everything, but then when the ECT is on cut through some of the deep thick fuzz wall so more clarity comes through
Really worth it dude. It's so much more than just a Rangemaster
Yeah I love the ECT because of how easily it feedbacks compared to my Muff. My Sovtek takes a little pushing to get into the full on wall territory whereas the ECT is already there. And when the Gamut is on, its just like SHAZAM. Need to stop being lazy and actually take the knobs off the ECT tonight so I can take the rest of the sticker off. And glad you got the AD-9 better suited for you dude. I really dig it.
Hahahah yeah. I'm totally for minimal setups, I like them. But I've been exploring how to get textures and all, and especially with looping its really important to me to have clean cleans, driven and bold drives, and thick fuzz for different sections of soundscaping. This board is almost where I'd like it to be.
Top right is actually a Super Duper clone that I built from a Madbean board, it's great for when I'm playing quietly, or for more overall headroom in my little 5 watter at bedroom levels and it's almost always on one channel.
Bottom right is indeed my Holy Grail, it was the second pedal my wife bought me a few years ago now. Some people hate it, and it definitely has disadvantages to it like thinning out your sound, but I like all the little noisy quarks it has to it. Right now I'm using it first in the chain for SUPER sustain. It'll be replaced by a Rub A Dub next week when I buy the parts for it. Rub a dub when I had it was pretty much ALWAYS on because it just made everything sound huge and open.
Yep, Madbean kit. I like to mod mine to have 2 delay times, as well as momentary feedback and a clean/mix blend so that when it gets crazy your guitar is still there. It oscillates super nicely and the repeats are nice and dark and sit well. I'll be making another for myself also when I get paid that will replace the AD9.
Yes, its a good little cheap reverb. It's noisy and for textures if you jingle the strings it sounds like a spring tank when it jumps. I love it. It sits well pre-drive/fuzz, its actually my favorite spot for it unlike the Super Moon which sits better after fuzz
StupidDream88 wrote:Glad you dig it man. That's exactly what I love about it - how tight it keeps everything. I even use mine into high gain amps and stacked with other dirt for higher gain sounds because it just works perfectly for that. Here's what I was rocking today in Open B

i am now officially pumped to get a n ECT
i finally fucked with the internal trimpot on the ad9
full counterclockwise
does the infinate repeat oscillation now
a totally usable pedal for noisy situations

I run my ss/bs Sparkle Motion into my Robot Devil and then into my ECT and it just nails almost any tone I want with some slight tone knob tweaks

bin porn

because there's no room for all of them on pedalboards.
yet some of them are wired
here's a peek into two of them:

this is kinda a vocal board

and this is an instrument I guess, with the rot yr brain as the source.

Having a looper at the beginning and end is real cool I'm excited to play with that a bit more.
