Yep. Been waiting and saving for a year. My first email to Nick @ Dunwich was around this time 2011, maybe even earlier.

You closing in on it, savings-wise? Gonna be a badass amp when the time comes I'm sure, well worth the wait. :thumb:

I've pretty much got what I need to buy it outright, but I still have to save up another €400 for import duties. That won't be for a while, though, as I only have to pay that when the amp arrives. Nick won't be finished the amp for at least two months, which is enough time to save up enough for the VAT. Maybe I won't have to pay that much, but I'm preparing myself to.

The only way I can justify spending import duties is reminding myself that I'd be paying the same amount if I was buying from a builder in the UK or EU. Well, a little bit less depending on what country I'd be buying from as they all have slightly different VAT rates, but crucially I'm expecting to pay around €2000, and that's what it would cost if I bought from a UK builder.

I may not get the big 45/90 this time around. If you remember, I was looking for an affordable and lightweight combo. Well, I may get that first. I haven't decided yet.

I'd love to see Dunwich's take on a small combo amp...

Likewise!

Nick's been throwing around an idea for a 1W and 10W Matamp-style head too, a production model actually. Would rule.

So far, Nick and I have been discussing a tweak on The Wood Wizard's most recent Dunwich, the DoomTrain. Basically I wanted a Fender Deluxe Reverb/Princeton type of thing with endless clean headroom (at least for a 20 watt amp), and then a Matamp GT distorted channel for teh heaviez. We have a lot to iron out before it's possible, but that's just one idea. Originally I wanted a BadCat clean channel with a Marshall Super Bass or Orange OR120 distorted channel, but I think a vintage Fender would be better.

Good god man, both great ideas!

I'd lean toward the Fender/Matamp GT as well.....

DoomTrain for the amp gain really, those are setup for fairly heavy amp and then boosting with pedals. Dans idea of half Blackface Fender Half Gt120 would be a good pedal amp

the 1W and 10W matamps floating in my mind, too focused on customer amps right now and a hundred other ideas.

i usually dont do combos due to shipping cost and increased overall cost on the buyer

Matt, I think that's sound advice for everybody in here. Start saving and get on the list!

When my Dunwich time comes I'll get a head not a combo probably... a smallish head and a 2x12 or 1x15 is probably my fave setup.

Awesome stuff, Nick, you rule! (PS - we put a package in the mail for you yesterday and I hope you kick very much butt with it)
