Fender Telecaster parts?

Post by bongoben »

I currently have a Fender Nashville Deluxe Series Power Telecaster (3 pickups plus the Fishman piezos in the bridge). I want to dump the middle pickup (the strat pickup), add on a new pickguard (that doesn't have the routed hole for the middle pickup) and add in a 3-way switch like you would find on a "regular" tele. I love the sound the piezos add in so those will stay. Of course I can find the pickguard and 3-way switch online in separate locations but was wondering if anyone knew of 1 place to buy both to save on shipping. I'm looking for the red tortoise pickguard if possible. Anyone know of a magical website that would have both of these items?

:!!!:

(edit) and while I'm digging around inside my guitar making these changes are there any other recommended upgrades I should be doing at the same time?

Early morning searching wasn't working for me. But I found darrenriley.com and they seem to have everything I'd need. The "are there any other mods I should do" questions is still valid though.

Check out Warmoth: http://www.warmoth.com/
They have pretty much everything and they cut their own pickguards so there are a lot of options.

As far as mods go, if you are digging the sounds then I'd leave it be.
If there is something specific you don't like you should make adjustments.
