Somehow was able to finish another pedal off the list tonight, this one had been sitting for a while for jrmy. Cave Dweller with feedback momentary, used the old enclosure from the other Cave Dweller I had built for it.

Glad you dig it man :D

Worked unexpected overtime all weekend, so all my time was taken from me. I've got a lot of stuff partially wired, just need to get some bench hours in

Letting everyone know I'm alive and I've not forgotten about anyone's orders.

Moving from being hired by a temp agency to the actual company yielded a week's worth of training and 8-8's, along with weekend shifts, followed by a new software being launched in two weeks wich yielded 2 additional days of training this week and 8-8's Mon-Thurs. Tonight I'm actually getting off at 6, which is the first time in a LONG time I'll actually have more than 1-2 to work on stuff.

List for myself

1. Wes' Fuzz- finish wiring
2. Gardenofthedead- fabricate + install blend control
3. Wire WSG for RotGut
4. Bassus CaveDweller DLX
5. Delta Pedal
5. AA Rehouse
6. Bendy- Midiguy

Wes' fuzz has taken a bit of a turn, but it's going to be extra gnarly. Finished populating the PCBs for it this week.

Garden's RAT just needs a blend installed before its out in the wild.

RotGut's WSG needs a few dedicated uninterrupted hours to knock out.

Bassus' CaveDweller board is in hand, as well as the enclosure.

AA's pedal is also in hand. Gotta take a look and see what enclosure size it can fit in. Don't want anything super cramped and I don't want anything super huge.

I got home at 7 and just spent the past 6 straight hours getting shit done on Wes' fuzz. It's 99% done. Fully working. Just finding a shit ton of bends on the new Torns Peaker side that I'm adding in for extra fun. Was a bit of a squeeze under the hood, gotta tidy up all the wiring too.

Yuss! I should have posted about this baby sooner! It's so beautifully dark & atmospheric. The momentary oscillation feature is INTENSE! And the ramp-up or ramp-down you get from messing with the repeat time knob is just fantastically smooth. It's a fantabulous piece of kit, and skully was absolutely great to deal with. Huzzah!

BUT THERE IS MORE!

After THREE MONTHS I COMPLETELY finished it up tonight. Swapped out the starve pot for a lower value on the FY-2 side. Added a switch on the FY-2 to create a HUGE MASSIVE ANGRY distortion. Like holy shit scary gain with no gate intense everything on 10 destruction. Wired up the FY-2's second switch for optical oscillation, and the second switch on the Torns Peaker as a THICK overdrive fuzz that gets rid of the gate and splat and leaves you with a punchy drive that you can send into the FY-2.

So 8 knobs, 4 stomps, 2 switches, 4 LEDs. It's definitely changed from the original concept through the way, but I think that it's a really gnarly versatile fuzzer now, that can get super crazy or super metal or super psych or super heavy.

Here's the new additions:

And the guts. It was interesting fitting everything inside the enclosure, but I got it to work. Not the neatest, but for the sounds that come out of this thing, it's fitting:

Sooooooo I've got a few people to thank for that one. Wes, for being chill as shit during each step of the construction of the pedal, for being optimistic with new ideas, open to change, etc etc. And Dan for the wonderful job on the enclosure.

I also finished up GardenoftheDead's Bass Rat tonight. 3 way diode selector + clean blend. SO MANY BLENDS MAN.

So, really feel a lot better now that I've got some stuff done and out of the way. WSG wiring is up next, and hopefully there won't be mandatory overtime at work this week!
