Sooooooo... a while back, I had a Burns Buzzaround clone built by Rockness Monster. I haven't seen him around for a while, but he always seemed super nice and did great builds. Anyhow, the pedal was amazing, but housed in a very basic, unlabeled black sparkly enclosure. Nice enough, I suppose, but nowhere near cool enough to match the sheer badassery of the circuit.
So then I started lurking in DIY, and noticed the work of our own LaoWiz. I was thinking of commissioning a custom build from him, but lacked the funds for much of much. Then I remembered the Buzzaround. The poor, neglected Buzzaround.
Well, I don't think it'll have much of a problem standing out in a crowd anymore.
I didn't really have time to get the photos set up as nicely as I'd have liked, but I wanted you to be able to see the red underside. Cool, right? And the enclosure itself is totally awesome - it's like one of those old slanted Tonebender-type enclosures, but it's not much larger than the standard Hammond 1590BB / EHX XO sized dealio. I am so SUPER SUPER SUPER psyched with how this turned out - it so perfectly captures the old-skool grotty vibe I was looking for. And LaoWiz was AWESOME to deal with - he really went above and beyond, suggesting the enclosure type, and offering variations on the design until we captured just the right one. SO HAPPY.
So yeah. I'm a happy camper.
