So, ILFer Wizard (who has been a little sporadic lately, but whatever - ONCE AN ILFER ALWAYS AN ILFER) plays guitars (and sometimes drums, and sometimes maybe sings) in, like, a bajillion bands. One of them is the ever-excellent Dangerous Ponies, who just put up an excellent indie-pop diddy for free download on their Bandcamp site.

i'm am pretty into this tune. the little part at about 1:43 sounds exactly like an Aria Decline song called "the obvious," but that's such an obscure thing to drop into a song it has to be a coincidence. it's only 3 notes, so it's probably a coincidence, but it really sounds so much like the beginning of this other song it's crazy.

They are on CMJ this year. Good for them. I haven't seen them in a bit but they come through often. Last time I saw them my band couldn't play the show we were scheduled to play so I put together a loose improv group and that was fun...they were awesome. Cramped in a tiny basement...more band than people.
