NGD - Jackson USA Custom Shop Soloist by Pablo Santana

Post by Kayzer »

I recently had the chance to get my hands on a Pablo Santana Soloist made as a "one off" for the NAMM 2009
The look might not be for everybody but damn thats probably the most perfect instrument i have ever played.
There is not a single let down on this guitar beside the Stock Seymour Duncan they have used but thats an easy fix.

The action is super low, the recessed floyd plays like a dream, the whole guitar body is vibrating when you hit a note more on any other guitar i have every played.

I have swapped the Pickup for a Nailbomb (Ceramic) first but this one was missing a very slight touch of aggressiveness, so i swapped it for a Warpig (Ceramic) but that was bit too much goodness.
At the moment (also in the Video) it is equipped with a Seymour Duncan Invader which comes very close to the sound in my head. It just misses a very slight touch of aggressive highs so the pickup search goes on.

I have tried the regular Sustain Block then swapped it for a brass block and now i have one of those fancy titanium blocks inside this axe.

Enough geek talk. Video and Picture Time :-)

Enjoy

Yeah, totally not my aesthetic, Kayzer, but that one's really classy. It exudes pure style.

Wow, I really like that, and I'm in teh same boat as everyone else, yet I would play that anyday.

What was your set up for that video? Your play style is one I have always covetted.

It's Jackson's version of the White Falcon.

Pretty sweet...I agree about the cpig being a bit "much" haha. I've got a love/hate thing going on with it in my bari lp.

Have you checked out the dimarzio dominion yet? You might dig one of those. Thinking about putting one in my Jackson rhoads

the neck joint and lower cutaway look so beautifully done and comfortable. that's the only guitar i've ever seen that looks like it'd be comfortable playing up on the 22nd fret.

The Invader is probably my favorite passive PU. I put them in almost all my Jacksons and ESP's.

Dennis, as always you bring the BROOTZZ :animal:

Video fucking ROCKS.
