Relic-ing to look like a vintage guitar, I have no probs with relic-ing if it is from a artistic reasons, why not do someing that doesn't look like something?!?!

pet peeve numero uno is fake relic finishes. they need to all die, and the folks that make a living assembling parts guitars and covering up their shoddy "workmanship" by fake-relic-ing the results need to go work the drive-thru.

On the opposite end of things, does anyone else wish that they would stop making guitars that are so shiny they look like plastic? Modern finishes are just too much. They look really cheap.

Or how about guitars that are only available with rosewood fretboards? I've got enough rosewood fretboard guitars, thank you very much. More maple please.

hmmm... maybe but I like guitars made out of plastic.. and I like flat black a LOT... but yeah.. must new guitars even up to the $800+ range look rather cheap these days..

the colors in the 60s were so much richer and alive
now black dont look so black with that candy coat, its like a mirror

Played one of those 70's Tribute satin finished Gibson's over the weekend and kinda fell in luuuuuuuuuuuust. The new mini-hum's sound awesome! And the fit and finish was super nice.
