How many bands do you play in?

I'm in three.
One is my music, my say but we still have fun. We're called Housewife. It's kinda garage-y, indie, space-y-ish rock. I sing and play guitar.

Another is a band just to have fun in. Me and two other friends. No vocals, just playing fun rock stuff. Our name is Kylemarkandlucas so you can tell we're not really serious lololololol. Kinda Red Hot Chili Peppers-y. I play guitar.

And the last one is a band with a local guy who I've listened to and been to shows of for several years. His side project Corkbush Field Mutiny has gotten more popular and now it's me on bass this time, and him (voxxxxxx a g tar), keyboards, and a d drummer. It's like folk, acoustic, indie, post rock stuff. A weird mix. At least that's the direction he's wanting to go but it was more acoustic before the drums and bass came in.

One of my regrets is never coming to try out for IfIHadaHifi when you guys were looking for someone to play guitar+synths years ago. (guitargeeks forum era) Oh well

apparently i'm playing bass in a shoegaze band, but we haven't practiced in months because one of the guitarists never wants to get together any more. me and the 2nd guitarist are gonna split off and do some post-rock thing, but even that seems iffy.

i've made tentative plans to jam with a vocalist for some crusty punky metal thing, which is more what i wanna do anyway.

I've played guitar, bass, and keyboards in Starling Electric since 2004. Lucky that we all came together so perfectly. "Clouded Staircase" released nationally on Bar/None Records.




I play guitar and write all the music for The Boys Themselves. Half-way through a record right now.

I play in 3 bands, but really I prefer to look at 2 of them as projects, rather than traditional bands.

The real band I play in is called Ansigt and is experimental rock (somewhat progy/math oriented). I write most of the songs on bass, but everyone else come up with there own parts and the final structure of the songs is a joint concern.

Then there are the two projects:

My oneman project called ...and for such a long time which is sort of folk/psychedelic/lo-fi/experimental where I, with very few exceptions, make everything

and a 2 man project called YaYa which is kind of slightly popish/psychedelic electronic music. It's really a very joint project, but so far usually I come up with the bass parts.

& I've collaborated a bit with a friend who does noise.

I really wanna start a rock oriented project where I can play guitar.

None right one, but usually two. One cover group to learn fun songs by our collective favorite artists. And one "orignals" group. The cover group I'm in currently I play guitar, but for bass I've just been learning new stuff. I got a Jaco Pastorious book that I've been going through, very slowly.

Five, actually. I play bass in four of them, and guitar in one. And, I write for one of them. I mean, like songs. I write my own parts, etc. for all of the bands I'm in. But yeah, they vary a lot in style, from punk-ish, to like power pop-esque, to emo, to doom, to shoegaze. It's fun, and it keeps me busy.
