Short pedals. Why they so low to the ground?

Not gonna lie, an AC-3 can sound pretty cool feeding into some fuzz. Especially on the dobro setting.
And I'm selling mine if someone's interested...

Clean blends. Just... Blech. You know what, if you want bassists to buy your pedal, how about designing to actually sound good on bass. Don't just puss out by adding a clean blend and calling it a day. Goddamn I fucking hate that stacked clean+fizzy sound. Just stop. I don't care if Muse does it.

Agreed that the fizzy+clean thing is gross.
HOWEVER...
Some of my favorite t0anz are the result of blending the Big Spider into the TAFM, and it's not nearly as good stacked without the blend.
So instead of labeling it a "clean" blend, I'll just start calling it "fuzzblend" or something.

also if your pickups are big and muddy enough the normally shit fizz-clean can work out alright

But for real doe, it never sounds good. It sounds fucking dumb. I just feel like it de-balls all the fuzz.

Also, while I'm on the rant, I don't like using pedals at unity gain. WHAT THE SHIT IS THAT FOR. WHY TURN IT ON IN THE FIRST PLACE.

On that note, subtle modulation in pedals me off. If it doesn't at least give you the capability of making laser gun sounds, fuck it.

Side mounted jacks can burn in hell.

Mini pedals that are mini for the sake of being mini.

Expensive pedals that do not need to be expensive.

Bad muff clones.

I kinda like them. :idk: Although I do agree it has to be with a fuzz that already has lots of low end like a tafm. Clean+shitty treble fuzz does not sound very good.

I'm sick of muff clones. Seriously guys, it's not interesting anymore, and I don't care how booteek it is or how close it is to x muff version, they all sound like muffs anyway.

I concur with this, I like feeding fuzz into my TAFM and blending in the "clean" signal as well.

Yeah, I can stand pedals with clean blend as long as the blend isn't clean. I love the Hair of the Dog, because the blend is dark and dirty, not clean at all. So I'm with you there.
