Audible / Under 20 minutes would be cool / try to show that you put at least a little effort into it / if it's in my inbox :idk:

I'm going to try to get some vocals thrown down onto something. Don't hold anything up because of me, though. I'm mad busy until the 15th with school.

Is anyone here familiar with garageband? On the track we recorded (it's totally done) but we forgot that there is like 20 seconds of talking/shuffling around before we did the good take that is the final one. Then we recorded all the other stuff over that take but forgot that the beginning was there. How do I get rid of that 20 seconds and bring EVERYTHING back to the start. I seriously can't figure it out and I don't even know what to search for on youtube etc.

Just put your cursor in the spot where you want to cut in, and (making sure that you've selected the right track) click command+T. That will cut your soundclip into two pieces. Then delete the old stuff, to the left of the new cut.

Then do a "select all" and drag everything back to the left. Do you have any volume automation? You'll have to move that manually.

Also, if you're at all uncertain or worried, save a copy of the file using "save as" and give it a different name before doing the edits.
