I tried...
-POG 2 at a store
-MicroPOG (didn't work for me)
-Octron (it was almost awesome... don't really know why I sold it) (I made a jwar out of me... )
-OctaSynth

Checks out the pearl...

The Octron turned out to be a near enough clone of something if I recall too... possibly an OC-2 with additional Octave Up.

I consider the whammy an octaver :idk:

Have you considered the mxr deluxe bass octave? Mine's showing up tomorrow and from the brief experience I've had with it, it'll track power chords ok, and makes fuzz sound massive. I felt like a powerful god of destruction running a wolf computer into it (I always take my wolf computer with me to the guitar center...the people there normally aren't fans of it).

Has anyone seen one of these out in the wild? Their site has said "UNAVAILABLE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE" like forever.

They need to put out already :poke:

I have NEVER tried an octaver that I dug. Never. I've tried many as well. The only time they seem to work right is with fuzz. Straight octave, sounds like shit or fake.

ryan summit wrote:why am i the only one that ever mentions the boss PS
is it because its a PieceaShit
i dont think so, but its debateable wether im a pieceashit,
i use it for exactly what your talkin about
its just me and drums
shit fills in all the gaps, especially the three voice
th PS 6 is what i got, and supposedly fixed the probs of the other PS's
i like it better than the whammy

i just love the way you always talk in verses

BUT to the OP - I have the Organizer and you can easily dial in a setting where it's just octave down, or up, or a little both, or whatever. You can really get any octave related setting on the thing. If you're going for kind of a fucked up sound, getting a monophonic octave pedal might be cool. When you play chords it struggles to pick and effect the note that your playing and sounds all glitchy and cool, and I bet it would sounds even cooler with fuzz! I really want a whammy for that reason.

Syl, if you'd just listen to my advice and install those hexaphonic pickups and run an octave pedal for each string, you'd be all set.

Gotta be Canadian. Empress hasn't released anything new for a while, but they were talking "utility pedals" a while ago, like buffers and stuff. Doesn't seem like something Solid Gold would do, nor Diamond, Ryan's all caught up with the Cosmi... Can Guillaume have found the time to rewrite octaver history so soon after releasing the new Randy and that matrix thing? hmm...
It's gotta be a Subdecay. They're not Canadian but they're rad and Brian has been talking about having a boat load of unfinished ideas.

I'm gonna hold off on a 2nd hand OC-2 till the Syl Pedal comes out. Seems the most prudent decision.

his problem is afaik the sound (clean octave down) and tracking, not the polyphony part... :idk:
