Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!

This is not really the proper thread, but oh well:

While I'm waiting for my new amp to get here, what kind of cab should I get for it? I was kinda thinking of trying to find a vintage Ampeg bass cab, but dunno about how that'd sound? A 2x12 would probably be perfect, and I'm not really considering the new Ampeg 12" cab because it's just a 1x12.

In a pinch, I guess I can get just an Avatar (boo). For the time being, I'm just going to run it off the 12" speaker in my combo amp until I get a cab and the combo amp can be sold. I can always save up for an Emperor, but that'll take time.. and I'd probably want to go all in on a neat Emperor cab that I can use with more amps in the future. Dunno.

Thoughts?

Particularly digging the idea of a steel Jazzy with a hardtail and a worn-through finish.

i dont know why you think thats hot

my friennd sends me a text last night
"hey werent you lookin for a les paul"
"yeah that was next on my list, why?"
"im workin on it"
then after severel what does that mean texts from me
i got no answer
is he buyin me a les paul, a copy for late bday
is it gonna be a $3000 POS that im supposed to pay for
is the $3000 pos gonna be a pink esteban clone
ive never felt so ungrateful for someone tryin to help me out
but thats like someone tryin to find you a girlfriend, but never bothered to ask what was your type(or your fetishes)

Eh yeah I guess it's an aquired taste. I myself have never been a Les Paul fan :idk:

Different strokes?????

If I ever had a Les Paul style guitar I'd probably want to do something really weird with it cause I feel like they all have the same general look

It looks like its mounted on some kind of platform and has a vocoder or something too.. Wtf?

If whoever did that doesn't do something totally AWESOME with that it's kindof a shame, but it seems interesting.
