heard a rumor bot metallica doin this a while back not a fan so didnt really lookin to it or care and wasnt surprised either supposedly theres a trailer 80%full of faux stacks the other 20 is modeling tech with everyones sound dialed in youd think if you had more money thaen gods exwife youd roll with dope gear 24/7 guess they decided to buy a humongous douche bag instead
If you're on a big stage, especially at an outdoor festival, things are gonna look odd with 2 1x12 combos and a pod going direct. You can do it, but you've gotta really think through your image on stage, and I think the rock-stack-idiom is so ingrained that it's hard to think outside that box. Meshuggah (who line everything) played with rollups on stage with images from the Obzen album, and that was pretty effectful (but now every band is doing this and they look like insurance brokers at a job recruitment fair). But um... what was I saying? Immortal? Crab mosh?
Ha ha! I'm too necro to be down with your fancy pop culture references.
Watched this vid with some dudes in my band. Convo went like this: Dudes: "WTF? They're on a hill top in bright daylight playing unplugged. This sucks" Me: Sucks? What? It's immortal = ruleage Dudes: And seriously, that sideways guitar crab thing - that is so lame Me: Lame? WHAT? It's cool! Dudes: Why? Me: It's IMMORTAL!
no comprendo!
There's no accounting for some.

That’s quarter-assed at best.

and that right there is why some people don't get/like bands like Immortal. It's like a Republican rally, you don't go in open minded; you go in looking for something you already know you'll agree with, not something that will make you think.
