Hey folks.
I figure I have some time in my not-copious free time to keep learning more about tube amps and get to the point where I can maybe design and build one from scratch. There's still a way's to go -- even though some of my degree was in electrical engineering, it was mostly digital logic and they never once mentioned vacuum tubes.
So that said, I'm wondering what books are considered good references to learning about building, modding, maintaining, and designing tube amps? I feel like I'm missing a ton of knowledge, and I figure it must be out there in books somewhere.
Thanks in advance!

there are a shit ton of books here about tubes although not all about guitar amps etc.
http://www.tubebooks.org/
more on topic i would really really recommend this page. if you read through it you will learn a lot. its nice because he puts everythign in the context of guitar amps, where as most tube books might not, although the idea is always the same.

I bought the tube amp handbook at borders when they were going out of business, good looking beginners project at the end of the book. Haven't tried it but the book was very easy to understand and read. Worth a shot since its cheap in comparison to some of the other books I've seen
