Due to a random image I saw on tumblr, I'm investigating Science Amps. They look pretty sweet, but I gotta find demos.

I said SCIENCE again!

Seems to be so far! I haven't gotten to amplify the guitar since putting it on, but I strummed the fuck out of it for 20 minutes and not a single string popped!

Is it common for a string to pop every 20 minutes on those offset bridges?

Well since I converted my Jazzmaster to a baritone I use .14's, so yeah it was being an asshole even on a Mustang bridge and I didn't want to screw around with taking the neck back off since Squier decided to put a blindfold on while drilling the body neck holes and 2 of them are crooked. But the extra deep saddle ridges on the Mastery make it pretty impossible for them to jump

People swear by those fuckers indeed! My ONLY complaint with offsets, like most, is the goddamn problematic bridges. Strings hang up if it's a Tun-o-matic, the standard bridge buzzes like the dickens, aaaaahhhhhhh!

Managed a ghetto rig-job with some rubber tubing around the posts on my old Jag, worked alright, still rocked and buzzed less frequently. Never even tried the Mustang bridge replacement cuz my faith in Fender vintage-style bridge design was lacking. Shoulda ponied up the $$ for a Mastery and called it a day...........damn it!

Yeah, if I could have the perfect Jazzmaster it'd feature everything that a traditional one did sans the floating trem because I don't use that shit at all. My Mustang bridge I had on it had heat shrink on it, but still sucked balls. But this one is seeming awesome!

YES!!!! I've had about 15 now over about the same time period (15 years) and it wasn't until about #10 that I bought one with a pre-installed Mastery. It is worth the extra $$$$. I used to be apart of the Mustang Bridge Brigade  but now I just done flipped and gone the other way :thumb:

SAY YES TO DYNAMICS AND VARYING VOLUMES... which just isn't fucking possible with the stock bridge and a heart of angst.

Mastery's have seemed to be pretty awesome on the two guitars I've had them on.
