Anyone use a BAT Revelation with loud/clean amps?
I have a Fender Hotrod Deville 410 and am curious if it would be stupid to buy a Revelation for a clean amp? Help? Thanks!

i use it (Revelation Super Lead!) with my clean London City Super Amp. It gives a very nice, kind of low gainish (not so much compression) fuzz the works very good in the band context. Did not check out the Super Bass version in the band context yet. But they are tonal not that much different. And the Super Lead still has more Bass than the Ritual.

Any thoughts on if I ran it through the dirty channel on my amp? More dirt, obviously.....but, yeah, any thoughts?

hmmm, i tried both, super lead and bass, with my jet city picovalve set to slight dirt. Sounds very good but you have more amp sound - obviously - the difference between the pedals is melting. I think it will work out very good. None of the BAT pedals (except the Oath - too much output for my taste) sounds bad with any amp set to dirty. But just my little experience.
I'm not sure, but your dirty channel may do the dirt with ICs instead of tubes. At least the old blues deluxe version did that for sure (once had one). I loved the amp but hated the dirt channel. So i may not be the great fan of imagining this sound being pumped by the revelation
pushing the tube driven clean input sounds a lot better to my ears...edit: on the other hand i think the hot rod stuff feels always too bright to me - so an always on super bass may be a good fit.

univalve speaks truth. The Super Bass version will give you the bonus dirty out and a "rounder" tone that packs more bass obviously. The Super Leads pack more gain and sounds better overall with my amps which aren't bright, not even a little. The two aren't worlds apart, just different flavors but I've yet to try the SB with a bright amp....
I run the Super Lead version exclusively with my Dunwich Metro on clean and clean-ish settings and it rules. I use singles and humbuckers btw and it's voiced just right imo considering lack of tone controls. Pairs very well with my Ampeg gvt15H also which is generally set to very light breakup.

my randall 410 is supposedly the clone of some fender amp
i run it clean all the time
on dirty channel or too much gain it tops out especially with badascan
clean i can use it with other pedals
dirty it mashes up and they all start to sound the same at some point
this is a solid state amp and different pedal
so i might be out of school here

Re: Anyone use a BAT Revelation with loud/clean amps?
I'm using a Super Bass Revelation with Fender P Bass (drop C), Orange AD200B MkII and Ampeg SVT-412. Despite its reputation, the AD200B (the mark II at least) could be used as a quite clean amp, with those 6550 valves and its 200w. With the Revelation the sound is really great, very bassy (but not "woofy") and very responsive; it reminds me some Rat tones: I've got a Fuzzrocious Rat Tail and the overall effect is very similar. Anyways, the Rat Tail at higher gain settings tends to be really mud, while the Revelation is always punchy with a lot of attack.
You're not a musician, you're a low frequencies generator!

i played a super bass version through my jcm 800 with the amp set clean and it was awesome. i'm going to need to buy one. i liked the pedal into the clean amp more than i did with any amp gain, although i didn't have a lot of time with it and i'm accustomed to keeping the amp clean as it is.
