What do YOU want in a delay pedal?

Post by zRobertez »

I want an analog/analog-ish pedal with tap tempo and modulation that has its own rate and depth knobs. Plus the usual feedback, time, mix, etc. And trails. Those are deffy important. I guess that's all I want in one. I really like modulation with their own controls in a delay though, sounds bawss! :hobbes:

What do you like in yours!? Have you found your perfect delay?

Pretty much anything that acts like a tape echo is fine with me.. I'm sure I need another delay other then my Maxon AD900 but ATM it does what I need live... and I sort'a own a space echo...

Everything I want is in the Moog Analog Delay MF-104m.

Dude, you just perfectly described an Echo Base. Check em out. I think it would be perfect for you based on what you're looking for.

Oops actually no tap tempo, but other than that..

I don't really get what the advantage is supposed to be with tap tempo anyways though

I want something that can get really really dark and gritty. I like a long analog delay and something that can do some runaway oscillations! But the selling point is really dark sounding.
Fuzz, reverb, delay.

I really enjoy my memory boy. It's warm and weird to me.

I can see the purpose with tap tempo, especially with a drummer. Bounce some things off him on the fly.

Awesome! I'll check that out. I use tap tempo to match the speed of the delay with the drummer so if the delay is just a bit off, I can fix it and everything locks in.

I forgot about this. I hope it comes out sometime soon because it looks almost perfect for what I'm looking for. I just hope it has more than 300ms like the Aqua.

I like to have a delay with some depth to it, and nice degradation.
The Dispatch Master is pretty much perfect for me.

Tap tempo. Otherwise the differences from one delay pedal to the next are functionally negligible.

same here. analog + dedicated modulation controls + tap tempo + trails

i think the moogerfooger mf104m is the only thing that checks off everything on that list. i cant afford it though
i love the sound of analog but without tap tempo they aren't that usable to me, unless im just playing by myself.

still waiting on a priced-for-mortals analog delay with tap. supa-puss?
