Let's see your SMASHED GUITARS (AND BASSES)!

Post by theavondon »

Hey! I know I'm gonna get shit for this, but I sure do love smashing guitars. Do you?

Here's one that was recently broken. A Dean Evo that had been slowly ruined by a sweaty bandmate that never bought his own damn guitar. The band is having a reunion show soon, so I smashed this guitar so he's gonna finally have to buy his fucking own.

And, then there's this!

Bought it for $100, first show I played it at, I threw it on the ground (normal behavior for me) and the tuner peg for the E string snapped off. So, I smashed it.

I never took pictures of it, but I ended up smashing and snapping my white Squier Strat after trying to mod it. It was a mixture of things not going right, the tuners being absolute shit, and it being very late at night. But the body ended up in about 5 pieces

Yeah I was pretty frustrated with that guitar. If it stayed in tune for more than 5 minutes it would have been a different story. But when I jumped on it and broke it in half I got a grin on my face

THESE WOULD MAKE AWESOME LYRICS IF THEY ARE NOT ALREADY. I ALSO WISH I HAD PICTURES TO CONTRIBUTE, BUT I DO NOT.

I don't have any pictures. But I do have a scar on my inner thigh from a piece of scratch plate that went flying up my shorts when I smashed an old bass...

They need a better singer than morning-me. I can only imagine them screamo-hardcore style.

About a year ago, I ripped all the strings off a Dano and kicked it off the stage.

I've got a Jag and Tele with all kinds of minor damage, including a broken rhythm circuit from slamming the Jag on a floor tom.

I've tried to explain shit to a couple people. Usually it amounts to my playing or sound not coming out how I want, or just the energy from playing a good show.

sometimes it just sounds awesome when you smack a guitar into a wall or something. So you keep doing it.
