It's a stock runoffgroove Buzz Box circuit (2 cascading Bazz Fuss circuits) in a spam can. I made it for a gig I've got tommorow where I'll be playing bass.

Awesome! Do you think you could make clips? I've always wondered what the BuzzBox sounded like.

Sure. I could probably record something tomorrow.

It's pretty cool but not the kind of circuit I'd add to my board.

sounds like bass farts through a blown speaker. its cheap at $0.10, they work great for putting a tiny circuit inside the control cavity of a guitar or bass.

Lol yeah bass farts through a blown speaker is actually a pretty great description. It sounds pretty awful in a kinda cool way, but I'd rather have something else (and that's why I gave it to my friend).

Here's a Distortion+ with a toggle for Ge, Si, and no clipping diodes and an EP Booster in one box.

The ground wire that's currently going to nothing is for the LEDs that I'm too lazy to install right now. So much wiring!

Been working on heaps of projects with some successes

This is a compressor/sustainer and I think it actually might work... once I finish all the programming I need to do on it.

This is a tremolo/slow gear effect, been working on it for ages... I thought I finally got it perfect on my last PCB but then did a redesign to add mounted jacks and a few other things but now it has noise issues. :picard: Might end up doing a complete redesign of it If I don't get it working soon.

This is a guitar headphone amp, doesn't work at the moment but I know whats wrong and should get it going soon :)

Halloween Zombie Fuzz

Post by sunmachine »

Hey guys,

^^awesome and impressive stuff.

I built a modified one knob fuzz and wanted to go for something different concerning the paintwork. Since Halloween and The Walking Dead's season 3 are coming up why not try something? I saw these blood splatter guitars some time ago and went for it.

That paintwork was so much fun. I'm thinking of building a few more for friends as a Halloween present.

P.S. Forgot the best thing: these little undead fellows glow in he dark.

Now, I know this isn't quite as awesome as zombies, but here goes!

I used the Madbean Cosmopolitan board for this--highly recommended! There are just so many shades of classic dirt lurking in this thing. I used a 2n1304 for the germanium and a high-gain (about 680 hfe) BC108 for the silicon. This also has my first-ever attempt at any kind of graphic or decal. The waterslides aren't so easy! I wouldn't call that or the clearcoat an unqualified success, but it doesn't look bad from the right angle.

I love the creative builds people post here--hope to be at that level someday!
