We had a Sour weekend at the bar I work at. Duchess, Monke's Cafe, Petrus, Oarsman, Bucchus, to name a few. I love me some sours.

Going to brew for the first time this weekend, been pouring the brews for too long.

1,000th POST in THE BEER THREAD! Fitting that I would get to make it.

I'm working my way through a Sierra Nevada Beer Camp. Nothing mind-blowing, but I really like the Imperial Red... it's rare that I get to drink any Red Ales at all.

Also have some Punkin', but I'm saving that for closer to Halloween... we always run out like a month before.

What else... oh, this is exclusive to Michigan, but Saugatuck Brewing Company's Continuum IPA is a great Imperial IPA.

Props for drinking a real Kölsch!
(It's actually a regional denominator, it has to be brewed here to be real)
Even if that one is among the worst. Certainly Kölsch is more of an accompanying beer or just to get drunk on but not this kind of beer:

The only thing I hate more than Summer is the beer selection in the Summer. Also the Spring. Fuck that shit.

Fall beer is decent, but I dislike the Fall itself.

We need to get back to Winter. Every other season sucks.

Yup. Believe you me, that's about all I was looking for at the time. And it worked! Good times!

Flying Dog Dogtoberfest - Marzen. Very nice and smooth. A little darker than the marzen's I'm used to, but it's got a nice malty character with a bit of bite.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, God said, "Let there be Lips!" And there were, and they were good, and the lips said...

Berkshire Brewing Co. Oktoberfest on tap. It was mighty fine, but we had the kiddo with us, so I couldn't really focus on the beer.

I love Oktoberfests - probably my favorite style, I try every one I can get my hands on. Had the Great Lakes Oktoberfest on tap last weekend at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati...and it kicked serious ass. I need to find a case....

I knew there had to be a reason for Tom posting in the General section and now I see... Once (or six times) in a Blue Moon...
