Maybe I should go back to an earlier idea I had of getting one or two humbucker-sized "p90s."

I've been thinking of popping a humbucker-sized P90 in the bridge of my Burny LP, mostly for doomy/sludgy/etc hijinks. Any recommendations? The GFS Mean 90 is cheap enough to be worth taking a risk on (well, as long as shipping isn't too expensive) but yeah, any other humbucker-sized P90s I should check out?
I've heard good things about the Harmonic Design Z-90s?

It fucking rules.

AngryGoldfish wrote:If you have the money, the Bareknuckle Mississippi Queen P90's are very nice. They have a thickness to them that makes you feel like a badass. You can custom make any of the P90's to fit inside a humbucker enclosure, so that's not your only option. I don't think I've ever tried a Bareknuckle pick-up I didn't like. They're a great company. Some might say they're over-hyped, but they just tick all the right boxes. The only thing they could work on is lowering the prices, but you can't expect that to happen with today's economy climate.
If you're in the States, check out Wolfetone Pick-ups P90 models. They have three versions, Mean, Meaner and Meanest. They're another well-rounded company with solid customer services and customization options. Motor City pick-ups are another one to consider. I haven't tried those guys, but Mark, the guy behind Black Arts Toneworks, says they're great. BG Pups are another popular brand, as are Rio Grande, Kent Armstrong, Frallin, and Lollar.
I'd say that if you're in the UK, save up for a set of Bareknuckle's, At-The-Creamery, or Bulldog pick-ups. If you're in Europe, check out SP Custom from France. And if you're in American, check out Wolfetone and BG Pups for a bit more grunt, and Lollar and Fralin for a little more vintage voice.
