Re: Jaguar natural refin + .13 flats. IN PROGRESS
I'm thinking I might put 12's on the tele as well. Right now I've got the Jaguar set up as AADGBE, the Jazzmaster will be C standard unless I feel like going lower, and then that leaves the Tele to be in whatever tuning I want. Still debating which to use for it

If you shred dont buy a jaguar.
To me nothing sounds more 60's than a jaguar with flatwounds.

Re: Jaguar with 12's
I've got a blacktop Jaguar with humbuckers actually! I've had it for about a year now.
Didn't end up putting flatwounds on it, but I DID put Ernie Ball Not Even Slinky 12's on it and I LOVE them.
I can tell it still needs a little trussrod adjustment and I'm going to have to make the G string's nut slot wider just to fit the larger string, I had it pop once but I'd been playing for quite a while pretty rough.
I'm really digging the extra thud the 12's give the humbuckers, and it actually sounds MASSIVE! I've fallen for it all over again
