Playing in a new tuning can do wonders for your playing. Really breaks you out of boring patterns. Makes me happy to feel like I'm progressing still.
Now I just need to get some stuff recorded.

Rode a bike for the first time in like ten years last night with a friend. IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME. Man, I'd wanted to do some empty-streets midnight bike ridin' for a long time.
I was wobbling around like a drunk person for a while.

After a whiskey tasting last night with an awesome host from Bruichladdich distillery in Scotland, we got the brilliant idea to give each other Skrillex haircuts. To be completely honest, I wasn't all that drunk at all -- it was about 4 hours after the tasting, and we only got tiny shot of each scotch. It just sounded like fun and I wasn't really too concerned, because I've always cut my own hair and been able to just go get another haircut from a barber shop if it gets messed up. For reference, I had a sort of grown-out 70's Paul McCartney thing going on.

This morning, I had my girlfriend clean it up and do the other side, making it a proper floppy mohawk. It's the first time in awhile I've cared about how my hair looks (hence the 70's grown-out look.) but tomorrow I start at a client office (I'm a consultant) that is very corporate, so you know, punk rock and fight the man.

Had a good last day in town for Kate. I helped pack, and just got to be close to her, which I didn't expect to get before she had to go.

Sucks that she's leaving, but, it's college.
