Wow. Crazy versatile. VERY affordable.

So how much of that "vintage" sound was the amp and how much was the pedal?

The pedal was a lot of it. The KAY tends to make gainy pedals kinda squishy, so I tried not to drive it too hard. Also the iPhone didn't capture a lot of the subtlety I really liked about the STEP.

I want to do another demo with my Marshall and a properly mic'd setup, especially for mode 23 (flip switch 2 and 3 engaged).

Really cool! I'm still loving my Driving Notion. I may need a companion for it.

Hmm the STEP seems pretty cool, I already have all the territories it covers on my board but if for someone who doesn't, should be a solid purchase :thumb:

Really cool. A new flavor from Ken.

And it's like $140 after that code. Really nice price.

Have you gotten to plug it in on bass? The tracking sounds not to miss a beat on guitar.

I like the art on the pedal a lot. I'd love to have that on a t-shirt with no text.

As a general policy I don't buy fuzz, I build fuzz, but this is heavily tempting me to make an exception. That's a pretty damned nice pedal and a lot more in my budget than other really nice fuzz pedals that grab my attention around here.

Yea, this one I'm going to need to see a demo on a less coloring amp.

The Kayness and the pedal are sort of hard to separate in a lot of what I watched last night/this morning.
