LIGHTS!
hey all, I love having cool light shows at the DIY gigs my band puts on, but I'd like to have more control over the lights. I'm wondering if any of you know how to make a simple footswitch box that would allow me to turn on/off certain lights. Some lights I have don't have an on/off switch (you just have to unplug them to turn them off...my strobe light for example). Is this possible/doable? If so, could you guys show me the ropes? thanks!

Re: LIGHTS!
The old Carling switches like in the old fender foot switches will handle 125 V
So it could be done as a power strip wit a switch for each circuit.
I know there are commercial units available with that, random switching via relays etc.
I guess if you wanted to get very technical you could do the sound sensitive (Ooh '70s) circuits or even motion sensors/detectors.

for sound activated control and chasing. http://123dj.com/lighting/controllers/sf4005.html
best option IMO. you can plug four pars or any other non-motorized effect light.
besides that, look around for one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250448067735&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching#ht_908wt_1167

My attorney had never caught on to the notion espoused by some former drug users that you can get a lot higher without drugs than with them. And neither have I, for that matter.
