I have a GGG Rams and it rules so friggen much.
Of course it has a very specific sound and I didn't read enough of this thread to know what sounds you are going for.

Yeah where's the friggin' Op-Amp choice? Is that "Late 70s"?
I have an original V5 in near mint condition and it is THE fuzz sound I want. Love it. Has nothing to do with Smashing Pumpkins, either. Fuck that noise.

Despite a landslide victory for the Greenie, I'm gonna buil the GGG tuned one. I emailed JD Sleep asking what the difference was between the Green and GGG, and he said that the GGG is more overdrive and the Green is more fuzz. So, I'm thinking I'll get more grind/clarity going that route. I appreciate everyone's input, though.

Whoa. I just finally listened to that clip, and the Ram's Head sounds super crunchy (comparatively speaking). Sounds awesome! What was the first muff?

i voted for the Black Russian... i've owned 2. they just sing sooo beautifully. i've also owned a NYC reissue. I have an original mid-70s Big Muff tucked away somewhere. my favorite Muff currently is my Black Arts LSTR. bawlsss
