Ran about 2.5 miles today
Feel pretty good, trying to cut out diet soda, which is tough for me. I love my Zero's but It's the next important change

2.6 mile run/walk today, I ran the first mile hard then alternated running and walking quarters for a bit
Hopefully be able to clip off three miles without having to walk and or die by next weekend

Congrats on the 3.2! I'd run, but I'm 24 and I already have pretty bad knees.

I lost an additional 4 lbs since the last time I posted (makes for a grand-total of 14 lbs since the start of this thread, 6 more and I'll be at my goal). I'm doing 50 pushups and situps as well as a half hour of yoga a day. I had to quit riding my bike on account of my having broken several spokes on my rear wheel, but I'll get that fixed soon and I can get back to riding around.

Going to have to start running again as I'm definitely out of shape at this point. Think I'll go with those 5 finger things, they look intriguing.

There's a specialized shoe store in town where they scan your foot while you stand, walk and run, then use that to find the right (running) shoe for ya. Apparently my way of doing those things was weird. When I exercised at home it was always barefoot, so this kinda seems like a natural progression.

Our weather sucks from pretty much October onwards, I like it because it drastically cuts down on runners at the park. Downside is that some of those runners are very nice to look at. My old shoes had one of those breathing top areas, so not waterproof at all. Never bothered me though, my clothes would be soaked before my shoes were.

I need a specialized shoe store
Pretty happy with the huraches but they collect gravel and I know they will scoop up mud all winter.

2.7. Miles yesterday
2.6 today.

Pace is about the same. But I feel better at the end. Hopefully hy next week I will see some time results.

So, regardless of how often I try running, I almost die because of my shit lungs.

Luckily, I can ride a bike, so I'll be doing that regularly instead.

Also, I'm forcing one of my sisters to bike ride and do the P90X or another routine with me because she mentioned wanting to try it.

just joined a 24hr gym yesterday, I have dropped 50lbs since November and it's now time to tone up a bit so I'm gonna go pretty extreme as far as body weight exercises go ie. pull ups, chin ups, push ups, pretty much anything with an up.

Try running with somebody else if you can. It really helps you keep a pace and stay motivated when your lungs give you a hard time.
