Yea it sounds very similar to that! Hah! But I was actually using the new Source Audio Hot Hands 3 which is a wireless ring receiver. It doesn't seem to want to work with a lot of things.

I do however need a different expression pedal though. I use a Mission one and it seems to act more like a volume pedal than anything. Any good suggestions?

I use the Source Audio Dual Expression Pedal with very good result.
Same pot value has the Moog in a rugged enclosure.
