Over the years I've acquired the knowledge that my favorite fuzzes and such are usually LEDs. The rawness and clarity is the main standard I hear. What fuzzes you know be using it?
I believe the Arc Flash and the new Super Collider do it to it. What else cause that shit is raw as hell.

I swapped out the Germaniums in my Pharaoh for LED's and I like it a lot better that way.
I think the Hoof uses LEDs too.

My Crush Fuzzes use LEDs for clipping. Some of the modes on my Chimeras and Four Horsemen use LEDs as well.
Personally, I like the sound they give. Clear, yet mean and ballsy all at once.

Danelectro Pastrami. Real Big Muff sounding LED distortion when cranked. The Freakshow FX Brown Rabbit had/has an LED mode.

I <3 LED clipping. The LED clipping in the Elements is the best and it's sweet in a Rat too (rattoo.... haha)

BAT Badascan, it's a pharaoh that has the germanium option swapped for an LED option and the gain stage of a LSTR, and i love it in LED mode. Like SS said so heavy with great clarity.

I'm pretty sure that I had my Turbo RAT modded with LEDs. It was a while ago, so I'll need to check on that to be sure. But it sounds great.
