crazy sci-fi oscillating fuzz

Post by jrmy »

So, my bandmate occasionally sends me links to cool pedals, many of which I've heard about here first. Today, he got one over on me with this one:

http://www.raingerfx.com/dr%20freak.html

It's pretty nutso... and it looks like a 50's era science project gone awry... AND it comes with a weird little "aftertouch" expression pedal to affect note resonance and whatnot...
:bob: :omg: :bob:

Yes, yet another item has been added to my GAS list...

It would be a little weird to be stepping on yourself... possibly painful, too...

That's cool as shite. I dig the big flip switch. It would be a pain to have to bend down and flip it tho, but I guess you could always run it in a bypass loop or something. Any idea how much?

Modulating oscillations rule. My wolf computer has a setting where the oscillation ascends in pitch and it restarts when you stop playing. Makes for wonderful note interaction. This frankenstein might be what I'm looking for so I don't have to slowly tweak knobs to find the right setting. :grumpy:

Whoa! How do you achieve that on your WC? Clearly, I need to spend more time twiddling the knobs on mine.

I just PM'ed the builder over on GearSlutz, asking about price, avail, shipping, etc. I'll let you all know what he says. I also invited him to come over and check out iLF since he seemed to be building the kind of things we're all interested in... so we shall seeeeeeeeeee...

no idea haha I just think it looks cool and is a cool idea. I'm thinking maybe the switch changes the pedal function from ON when pressed to OFF? :idk:

that's what I'm talking about. there's a switch and a button. I'm thinking the switch changes the function of the button, so if the switch is up, say, when you press the button the effect is ON and when you release the effect is OFF. and then if the switch is down, when you press the button the effect is OFF and when you release the effect is ON. but again, :idk:
