Re: Monolith Loudspeakers & Effects
Got the Lodestone today... it doesn't work... whenever I turn it on, there's just humming really loud and no sound from the instrument, just humming... changed out adaptors, cords, everything and plugged in straight to see if it was my bass... no such luck. I even paid an extra $34 dollars in customs fees for it because they declared the full amount of the pedal. I'm pretty bummed out about this.
I remember a similar situation happened to a Muff I had before... whenever I turned it on, it just hummed really loud and no sound from the instrument came through. Anyone have any idea what that might be? I really don't want the hassle of shipping it back and all that, I am pissed off and I wish that it worked.

I wonder if the jacks are backwards.…?
I really don't know. That's poo. I can't believe it's dead on arrival.

Bellyheart, I can't believe you posted before you checked that for yourself.

Re: Monolith Loudspeakers & Effects
I assumed they'd do something like that just because the issue was with muffs which some people don't know is subjectively backwards.

I remember a Metal Muff I got for free before (thankfully it was free.. AWFUL pedal...) had the same problem. It worked for a couple of weeks, then I turned it on one day and it just hummed and no sound from the instrument came through The amp, turned it off, bass or guitar worked perfectly.
Maybe it was messed up in the mail? But I find that somewhat hard to believe... This enclosure is built like a tank.
I have no idea what to do.

Did you indeed try flipping the input and output you were plugging into like old style muffs?

Yeah! Tried both ways and the humming is still there. No sound whatsoever from my bass.

Open it up there should be a long lead that runs up the left edge from bottom left corner to the upper left corner and then almost all the way across to the upper right hand corner. Check continuity of that lead..........

If you take a few pictures of the guts I might be able to tell you. My guess is it might be fairly obvious what the issue is when you open it up

Agreed, I believe that the lead i posted about above is the ground lead on the PCB. Had an extremely similar issue on my tectonic shift when it came in, and this was the culprit.
