Line6 M9 saved me of having to deal with this problem.
(but when I figure out everything I want and get enough money for it, I'll get it anyway *sneaky sneak*)

Phone and laptop are dying slowly...pretty sure my synthesizer fund will have to go into a new phone and laptop. :(

I prefer Guitar Rig after I tried it. Amplitube fucking hogs your CPU.

Nah, you gotta either use a little adapter or do it the more permanent but still very easy way; disconnect the speaker wires and connect em to a 1/4 jack, drill a hole and you're good to go.
The speakers are also good for salvaging if you're making an ultra-simple little amp too, even a single strat pickup yields some dirty toans.

Ah crap. Well...that was very stupid on my part. I am hopeless with a soldering iron.

Nahhh, you can do it man. It's really really really really easy. But those adapters are also cheap and you can get 'em at Radio Shack or anywhere else like that.
