Need a delay/echo pedal

i believe its the dd3's - at least one of them. Just set the feedback high and the delay time very fast, and crank it up. It's kinda ieasy to get the sound, but might be dificult to control.

U see him turning it on and off every time he uses it - as it has no trails, everything makes sence. And i guess its even cheaper than a smmh.

It's called "hold" Step on it after a note, and it just repeats it really fast. Graham Coxon does the same thing on "On Your Own" It happens as long as you keep your foot on the switch. On the "bigger number" boss pedals (dd-7, dd-6, dd-20) the hold function has longer recording time, and turns into a looper.

Well yeah, it might be that. But around 1:38/39, i'd bet my money he's switcing it OFF, and hasn't been holding it down, while it did the delay. If i were to replicate it it, i'd be setting as i said before, on none of the shorter delays.

Well, at least we can agree that it's a DD3 - i love mine, and i want one more.

Anyway, you can get the same sound from the hold function, whetether he's using hold, or short delay with lots of feedback.

Some guy is selling a DD3 on craigslist for that. The deal is too good to pass up --- I guess I will now have 2 delays.

I made the purchase; I haggled the guy down to $50. Fiddy for a DD3, not a bad deal.

I'm thinking about doing something similar to the video and using it basically as a feedback machine.

I've got the effect level and feedback all the way up and the time at about 9:00. It is set on short delay.

I seem to be getting something similar to the video; does anyone know a better setting to get that kind of sound?

Also, I'm thinking about placing it first in my chain so I can easily get my foot to manipulate it. Is that weird?

Not really too weird. I sometimes put my delay first, it depends if you want to use other pedal in conjunction with it. Delay into Fuzz just creates lots of noise, like a wall of sound. Graham Coxon has his delay early in the chain, when he uses it for that short delay.
