any of you righties using a lefty neck?

Post by space6oy »

just had two friends hook me up w/ necks for the fender '51 i swapped communarchy for, one's a WD music licensed by fender righty strat w/ the truss rod accessed at the base (aka pain in the ass), the other's a pretty vintage made in USA fender lefty strat w/ truss rod at the head (no panel, just a metal tip that sticks out). it's missing a couple plugs for tuners but know those would be easy to replace.

so... any righties using a lefty neck? anything that sucks about it before i mess with switching these around?

Had that one here and did not dig it. Those pickups feel so wrong in there. The optics and playability was my thing though.

That's baaaaddddd. In the best way possible. The pickguard orientation with the flipped headstock is totally making me dizzy. What a cool build. I should have thought of that when I owned it!! Here's the guitar I built from the neck I pulled from that '51. viewtopic.php?f=149&t=27300

I'm a lefty rolling a righty neck on one of my guitars. I dig it - probably more than a regular headstock.
