Have you tried the Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop? In my experience, that's exactly what it does.

+1

You're making me want a Barbershop, but it's also not like I already didn't want one previously. You know?

-Fairfield Circuitry, Four Eyes and Unpleasant Surprise
-Mid-Fi, Demo Tape Fuzz
-Liquid Gain, Hydra
-Dr. Scientist, The Elements

Those I use the most at the moment:
-Liquid Gain, Hydra
-Mid-Fi, Demo Tape Fuzz
-Fairfield Circuitry, Unpleasant Surprise

The Barbershop is sooo good and Guillaume is so cool for releasing the schematic so I could get a piece of that action on the cheap. Everyone I've showed it to has loved it. Even my bassist loves it.

My Marshall Guv'nor (the square, black version) is my dirt pedal that never gets switched off for guitar. Doesn't sounf like much through a tran amp or at low volume, but it drives my tube amp bueatifully.

Main dirt/od for me right now is the Okko Basstard. Of course that could change soon as well. hah
