Resurecting the Beast - Westone Dynasty Bass

Post by MaxMaps »

A long long long time ago when I was really young my cousin who is the primary reason why I am into music today gave his old bass. I had in my ignorance tried to sand it to paint but lost interest a while back.

Today now that music is more important and I am far more knowledgeable about gear, I am going to try and get this thing to play again.

From what I gathered so far, that this was the Dynasty model from Westone. Its a Japanese bass, that had a magnabass 2 humbucker in the middle wired for volume and tone. I had my niece steal it from the house yesterday because I want to surprise my cousin with it. He is playing the same band that was in the trash metal scene here in Portland in the 1980's.

This bass died a long time ago, I think it would be a good project to get this mofo back playing again.

I am doing research on where to find parts which seem to be the hard part.

Any help that you can offer to point me in the right direction would be very helpful. =D
