What will be the next bandwagon genre?
Real Talk: I need to start stockpiling gear that'll be worth like seven times as much in a few years. You know, for short-term financial security.
What bands are going to use the next Sunn cabs? The next Bass Whammy? The next Deep Impact? What do they sound like? Are they "retro?" Do they make those rocking sounds like all those bands from days of yore? Are they bleepy-bloopy synth tappers? Apathetic? Energetic?
Is a mint Analogizer going to go for four digits in 2018?
Inquiring minds must know.

I picked up a used DOD DFX9 before they go completely through the roof. Buy it now on ebay has them everywhere from $75-$250. I scored mine for $23. LET THE WAITING GAME BEGIN

I'm really feeling the rise of the melodica in various metal subgenres.

DOD's in general over the past 6 months have just gotten fucking stupid price wise on ebay. I got my DFX9 for $40 shipped, and my friend got his for $25 shipped, this was only about a year ago. I guess they qualify as 'vintage' now

Re: What will be the next bandwagon genre?
i think u could almost blanket this w/ anything from the 80s, even 90s. no matter how digital the world gets, ppl will always want to make music on some analog shit (or even just "vintage" shit). the farther we get removed from it, the more the prices go up.
also, dubstep is basically already this "metalstep" u speak of...they already use lots of elements from "heavyyy rock music", etc etc.
