Starting the laptop/midi journey, tonight. Going with this guy:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audi ... ol-edition

That's the best deal I could find, too. Most other places have the controller without the software for that price. I'll pick out the laptop sometime this week. So all that is coming.

Going to fund that: Timeline w/ Midi, Expressionator, Unpleasant Surprise, and Octron.

I'll look to add Elements and Ableton at some point. Maybe some other software. If I start feeling comfortable with the software, I'll start moving my Badger Schism, Infanem Faye Sing, Dr S Tremolessence, ss/bs Uber Bass modded Year 4545, Voodoo Labs ISO-5, Moog EP-2, homemade pedal board with ATA flight case......heck, even the Megalith and Swell B-PEG could be flipped if I find sounds that replace them (I'm expecting the dirt from the software to not be good enough to replace these, though).

We'll see how things go. I'm going to keep doing some looking and research but I should be pulling the trigger, tonight.

Here's the enclosure for my almost complete custom fuzz. It's a Maestro Fuzz-Tone into a Shin Ei Companion Fuzz with blend and starve knobs for each circuit. Dan W. did the awesome etch and Skullservant is doing the circuit. The enclosure just needs a clearcoat and will be shipped out for to be wired up then it's on its way to me :!!!:

Jeez
Some dude on my Craigslist was selling an azureglo Ric bass, but it only had a bridge pickup. Were there any made like that or did he just ditch the neck pup and get a new pickguard?
Anyway, it was $4000, so...nope

The 4000 has one pickup.

They were the original model but after the 4001 came out they were turned into kinda the budget model, and after a while they made it with a set neck vs through... As far as I can tell the pricing "should" be the same or less then a 4001 - 4003 of the same year.. [and yeah I want one but at a budget version price :p ] Ric pricing is silly... there are to many people that think they are worth more then they are worth. Average price for anything that isn't super old and or rare should be 1200 - 2000 depending on year and condition.

Here is a pict of the bass I got

That guard is whack no? I guess it is "funny" that even one I get needs a new pick guard.... :idk: Still I am stoked and can't wait, I have wanted a fretless RIC since I was 14 :yay:
