This will also give me time to do some more research on 15" speakers. Weber seems to have a good lineup. Especially the ones that say loud, crunchy, huge low end! Finally, I can build a proper Rangemaster!

Awesome, I think you'll end up happy. (Webers are nice speakers.)

Yeah, there's a bunch of speakers I want to try out. My unfinished cab won't be here for a couple of weeks so I may get a couple of different ones to try out. Then eventually get another 1 x 15 cab. Yikes, it's gonna be a monster!

BlindtaF, I'll try to make a vid in the future. I doubt you would be able to get a sense of the beast, though. Through my 6 inch speaker it sounds insanely good. So much depth and warmth but real easy to bring in some sparkle. Great treble and bass controls and just super simple all tube tone. It's really making some of my ok sounding fuzzes sound way better. Some of the circuits I have built haven't impressed me as much as some of the others but I think it's really because I wasn't actually hearing them as well as I can now.

The amp is only like 20 lbs, so perfect to take to the jam space and then bring it back home to play my DIY experiments through and get a more accurate sense of the circuit I'm working on. So it'll help my building immensely. Being able to play this thing at home without getting complaints from neighbours is kick ass as this thing sounds so good at low volumes. The real test will be to see how good it sounds through a 15 incher cranked. Seems like it will be really clean and warm really loud when it's cranked, really rockin with a Rangemaster, and then monstrous with some punishing full throttle fuzz!
