The actual sound is prolly a Moog with it's own Moog Filter on a band or notch pass mode... Prolly a Voyager...

That sounds more like a wah than Moog to me, but either way, Q-Tron. There is the "Tron up" and "tron down" settings on the FM4 and M9 though which models the QTron, which was designed by Moog. So yeah.

Do you guys think I could get similar toanz as such with the standard Xerograph, or a Proteus?
EDIT: As far as just nailing the filter sound...

fuzz through a low pass filter with mid-high resonance would cover that. it *could* be a BPF, but it sounds more like a LPF to me...
most any filter should be able to get you that basic sound though of course their individual character, etc will be different depending on the type.

Agreed, add some expression control over the sweep also helps.

Re: What filter would you guys recommend to get this sound?
I thought it sounded kinda like Mr. Oizo and then I found this...
"We used quite a few analogue synths, like the Moog Prodigy for the keyboard bass in ‘Make Some Noise’ which was recorded through a pedal and an amp, "
"For example, the bass insert will have a Neve 1073 EQ, a Pultec EQP1A, a Massenburg 8200 EQ and a Neve 33609 compressor. It’s a lot, but I need it. The Pultec gives me the big EQ outlines and the tube sound, I use the Neve for mid‑range and highs, and the Massenburg is the best EQ in the world, you can do everything with it, from surgical detail to more general Pultec work. With three EQs, I can’t really go wrong. "
They got a crazy French guy to mix it... Here is the long and awesome article...

I hope this helps Seedy... I love the "How Do I Get xxx Sound" threads...
