A bunch of my pedals output to stereo without taking stereo input. So I need to pick what I can deal with as mono until the stereo split or figure out some parallel processing mixer setup. Generally, I just go mono so I don't have to think about it.
What do y'all do? Get more amps? (An awesome option for the multi-tap outputs of the Akai Headrush, true, but cost adds up.)

Which pedals are you talking about??? Just cause it only has one input jack doesn't mean it's strictly a mono pedal... Some of the single input dual output pedals have a TRS input and can split to stereo... Your guitar signal starts mono from it's output jack and travels through all your pedals mono or stereo to your amp... Unless you are using a two amp setup or have a stereo speaker amp (JC120) you are going back into mono when you are hitting your amp... Buy some Hosa TRS male to two TS females and play around... If you have a mixer send stuff out to two inputs and pan hard l and r and listen to how the stereo pedals work... I sometimes split out from my Flashback which is at the end of my chain and go left out into the amp and right out into some more dirt and into the other channel of my amp or another amp and get crazy half clean and half dirty delays... There are a lot of things that can be done and a lot of fun can be had by experimenting with mono stereo mono stereo setups...

Particular mono-to stereo items I have are: Magic Stomp, Tech 21 Roto Choir (trs output jack), RLD Adrenalinn, MXR Omni (old rack unit collecting lots of vintage pedal circuits), and Roland SRV-2000 reverb. The Headrush is a special case with its multiple tap outputs, but for practical purposes it's happily mono. Dual amp isn't an issue for me, I just cannot handle more than 2 mono amp rigs without gearing up.

I'm in the same boat. I've been thinking about buying something like this: http://www.loop-master.com/product_info ... cts_id=241.
