The Best "Bad" Music You Love..

Post by dlenaghan »

What's a band that in some ways is terrible but you love them anyway? Stuff like, say, the Flaming Lips? Wayne Coyne's a "bad singer", but no one can sound like he does and to my ears it's magic. My number 1 would be the Halo Benders. But I'm probably just some cliche hipster. Also on the list: Neutral Milk Hotel.

I usually try to be friendly towards "newer" members but nothing about the flaming lips is bad. Nothing. Fuck you.

Sorry, bit drunk. I would maybe say The Unicorns but still, "bad" is still relative.

Dude: re-read what I wrote. :picard:

We're talking about the difference between what someone can objectively accomplish and how much they stray from the standards of doing it well makes them appeal to you even more. Digital pitch correction gets you a "perfect" pitch but I don't know how many people would say that "perfect" (objectively) note really does it for them. The Flaming Lips are ace. I love that Coyne "can't" sing.

Are you naming names? Because for no good reason at all and against all sense, Blink 182 will always have a place in my heart. Maybe it's because they sing about having fun in high school when I was miserable.

I enjoyed the fuck out of warped this year. Streetlight, ETID, All time low, new found glory, taking back sunday, yellowcard, four year strong. Yeah, I wouldn't listen to them nonstop around the clock, but they all put on a hell of a great show.

I'm a big fan of Ke$ha. I shouldn't like it with all the auto-tune and stuff, but the songs are damn catchy and the girl can really sing. She has a good sense of humour too. Plus I'd say she be fun to put your willy into.

80's music. Like Push it to the Limits, the Rock Song....shit like that. OH and everything David Bowie has made or had a hand in.

I love eurobeat.

It's super cheesy and excellent for annoying people, driving, or playin vidja games. You can really do all of those at the same time too.
All five million eurobeat songs are fairly similar and seem to have been made by four or five different people in total. They're all Italian and frequently use names or song titles that contain "Bazooka".
Except for sleeping you can accomplish anything when shit like this is blasting in the background:

Dangerous speed cars
I'm in a mission
I got to moving fast
Feel the ride, the rush

ITALY.

Also a big fan of inspirational Japanese 80's rock that sounds like it came outta a Rocky montage. This song cracks me up

Right there with ya.

It's like her tunes are so agressively terrible that she has to be fucking with me, and she looks so retarded that it's hot.
