I've bought a handful of these non-working in the last few years for under $40 apiece. All have been $5 or less fixes. They are built piss poorly with really shitty wiring, pots and switches...and a couple actually sounded great, while most have sounded like absolute garbage. People are paying way WAY too much for them now.
It looks to be pretty clean with original knobs...if you have the battery door, and you're willing to wait to find someone not bothered by the volume problem, you'll probably get close to $80 for it.
When they were new, they cost $40...

Quick hijack. The pot(s) (doesn't get much use and I can't remeber if there is more then one) in mine are scratchy. Is that a sign of problems ahead?

Yeah, I also have a battery door on it. So, would you say that the volume pot is bad? Like should I re-solder it or actually go and replace the pot?

I'd give you about $40 for it :idk:

I paid about $45 for mine brand new a few years ago so I'm not about to pay any more than that for a used half broken one. It's a cheap fix, but so is pretty much any pedal repair. It doesn't take away from the fact that it's messed up.

Hard to know. Try spraying it out first with Deoxit...can't hurt to try. The real bitch is finding a replacement that will fit the knobs.

This. I think most "in-the-know" wouldn't pay near $80 for it...but someone will.

Christ, there's one of these listed as "vintage" right now on the bay. WTF? These small-box black Russians were the last revision. Discontinued does not mean vintage!

I have one (traded a TS9 for a couple years ago) and I really dig it. I feed it into an overdrive, usually my Eternity with the gain set low and it gets pretty gnarly!

Traded a TS9 for a Muff? I like your style.

Yeah I run mine into my fuck overdrive and it sounds awesome. Some of them sound great but they're supposed to be cheap.

60 shipped does sound good.

I have one of those as well (love it!) and it does have a considerable volume drop around noon. Mine doesn't cut out completely though. That is strange.

$60 is too much for sure. Maybe I'm crazy.

Yeah, that's probably right actually. I suck at pricing things. In retrospect I think mine was like 80 new. :idk:

Really? Where'd you buy it? Mine was like $40 or $50 brand new at guitar center. It was the first pedal I bought.

Yessir :thumb: Looking back, it was probably an uneven trade value (tipped in his favor) but I get much more use out of the Muff and I have other overdrives that keep me happy.

I bought mine for $80 too, and I kind of need the money for other stuff I agreed to sell it to someone for $55. That is if they stay through with the deal, doesn't seem official yet

I bought one of these for less than a USA Big Muff at GC awhile ago. I should've kept it seeing as the prices have skyrocketed.
