I wish nightterrors would post again... Are we talkin Head and Cab or Combos??? Carol Kaye used a Super Reverb 4x10 on almost everything...

Yeah totaly different things... The Bass Head has crossover and eq built for Bass and a Bass Cab has the Horn, Speaker and Bass Port to work with that...

Guitar head through Bass Cab = GOOD... Bass Head through Guitar Cab = :idk: ...

The right 4x10 combo amp is another story... :hello:

I occasionally run bass into my Ampeg VT-40, 60 watt 4x10 and I think it sounds pretty damn good. Granted I've only done this at home, so I don't know how well it would work at gig volumes. But I haven't even had the volume near half, so I suspect it could get seriously loud (like get me evicted loud, or keep up with any drummer) with bass.
