Before my old band recorded I just received my ABsynth in the mail and for some reason there was a short however, I discovered that when I unscrewed the base plate a little bit it worked just fine. I used a power drill and heard my guitar picking it up and it sounded great through the ABsynth. We recorded a noise bomb for the album and it was definitely what I used.
Now add springs and piezo mics and all the other weird circuit-bender attributes to the guitar and your set to play ambient noise in squated wearhouses.
iPhone screen lit up causes some pretty interesting noise interference with my L-1000's pickup. That plus delay was fun at my band's last show to annoy folks.
