its an 18W with dual channels, one is Matamp gt120 and the other is a Trainwreck.

oh i forgot deets. that 1 knobber is a boost with low impedance buffer output. It has 2 modes, either full frequency boost or just 250 hz boost (designed for customer who wants to add some punch to his bass). Its a FET style booster.

i did very quick testing of this as i have done 2 previous boosts of same or similar design (FAC Boost, and another 1 knob 500 hz boost only) with FAC Boost being 6 different selectable mid range positions from 250 to 1khz.

So essentially its like a FAC but just kind of 'honed in' on a certain frequency instead of having a range?

well a FAC control (as seen in my amps or ORs) does not control mids despite people possible mentioning this. A FAC adjusts the 3 db low end roll off created by the high pass filter of a gain stage, the coupling cap, and the impedance of the gain stage and the interstage impedance. So you are controlling how much low end you have in your amp which has a strong effect on how tight or loose the clipping is or the tight/loose feel of the amp early in its circuit.

In the case of the FAC Boost, I am using LC circuit in an active gain stage to selectively boost mids only. Thus you create a sort of bandpass filter which boosts a portion of the mid range centered at some frequency which you can sweep from 250 to 1k hz

oh totally different, its just a clean booster, very transparent, more or less a nice analog EQ/boost nothing else. run it off 5-18V

yea, obviously doom/stoner minded with the low of mids we have. Can work for bass or guitar with just about any center frequency. I can source inductors and what not.
