I should just look up some reviews when I get home from work, I know...

It's super versatile. Fuzz 1 is more traditional and can be dialed in to be a low gain overdrive. Fuzz 2 is more splattery and vintage sounding. Engage the tone circuit and you can dial in however dark or bright you want it. Boost everything and you've got a crazy wild fuzz with plenty of splat and sustain. Take fuzz 2 out and you've got a versatile standard fuzz tone. Take both fuzzes out and you've got a boost with tone shaping. Take the boost out and you've got a tone shaper. It's crazy how much of a swiss knife it is

I use my Fix'd fuzz as my main distortion... it does palmmuting, sounds pretty heavy, pretty open, no ridiculous amounts of compression... with a lot of mids i'd say :)

i have the boost on, Fuzz:1 on and EQ on all the time :)
I make pedal demos as East Stomp Boutique - http://www.youtube.com/c/eaststompboutique

I'm thinking the Musket is coming out as the frontrunner at this stage, in terms of size, cost, and achieving what I'm after.
I still need to have a look at some video reviews of the SST.
If the SST does sound like it's the one for me, there is the option of scraping together a bit more cash and seeing how that goes in my chain.
Currently I have two other fuzz pedals after my muff, but I tend to only run my guv and one fuzz at a time (not counting my fuzz-wah).
Could be a possibility that I could remove one of these.
I really like my Magnetic Fields Fuzz Field (NZ pedals that my band uses quite heavily)...

Meh, who am I kidding, I'm not removing any fuzz from my chain apart from upgrading my muff...
I might post some stuff on Magnetic Fields pedals here soon out of interest though. I reckon they're one of NZ's best pedal builders along with Redwitch and Paul Crowther (Hot Cake).

I ordered a Musket this morning.
And now I wait.
In the meantime, I think I'm gonna have some fun with my muff. Pretty big case, I'm sure there's room for something more interesting in there...
