SKULLY'S COSMIC DELAY PARADISE: Aluminum, Delay, Noise.

Post by skullservant »

THIS IS MY THREAD WHERE PEOPLE CAN TALK TO ME WHILE IM AT WORK.

So, as many of you know, I've got a little bit of an echo obsession. I've got 3 more coming in the mail by Thursday and I got the idea to hook all of them up and do a bunch of crazy shit for you guys.

Give me some ideas to try and I'll record demos of all of them. Any suggestion as to what to stick into the FX loop of the DMB, go for it. Order selection, go for it. Where to start a feedback loop, go for it. I want you dudes to have as much fun as I will with it.

The delays:

70's Deluxe Memory Man
Deluxe Memory Boy
Hardwire DL8
Madbean Cavedweller
DOD DFX9
Snazzy FX Wow and Flutter
Circuit bent Synthrotek PT2399 delay

TELL ME WHAT TO DO

Obviously, our first suggestion is and will always be:

PLUG THEM ALL IN AT ONCE!!!!!!!

As for the order... oo, I don't know. Maybe start with the "cleanest" and most digital, and end with the most dirty & analog?

Also, on a more serious (slightly) tip, I'd love to hear the Wow & Flutter in the DMB FX loop. Also a ring mod. Also a parked flange. Maybe all at once. :p

Whoo Hoo... Off the top of my head I'd run... Circuit bent Synthrotek PT2399 delay > DOD DFX9 > DMB w / 70's DMM, and Wow and Flutter in the loop and > Hardwire DL8 to loop then > Madbean Cavedweller for more delay...

Yeah I'm so excited for the DMB's loop. I have so many ideas I want to try out with it. My first will be to park the DMB on my board, and the Wow and Flutter parked on the floor next to it in the loop. I think if I enjoy it enough it might stay like that for a while.

Another idea I had was to put all the other delays into the DMB's loop as well.

Going to put a Wrong Side of Uranus into it, a Whetstone (if it comes in time), fuzzes, etc etc. :D:D

I WILL DO IT. I WILL DOCUMENT IT BEING DONE. That sounds awesome. The Circuit Bent Delay has so many textures to it, it'd be great to be first. I think I might also do a run with the DFX9 first, because I put the trimpots on the outside and can make it oscillate super easily/glitch/lock the glitch

I wonder what the DFX9 would do in the DMB FX loop if it was playing a loop that you mangled up....

All of them in the loop of the DMB.

With the DL-8 in reverse mode, and put the DMB in the easter egg mode where you hold down the tap intervals button for two seconds.

And get that DMM real wet, like chorus with at least half depth.

And put a delay with a long delay time into a delay with a short delay time.

Yeah...

I think I need a change of pants.
